Today morning when I got up early in the morning, I realised that I had not planned anything for the day’s breakfast. My immediate thought was upma. Then I thought of making pasta. While putting the water to boil for cooking pasta, I thought of cooking pasta the single pot method ( easy and quick method).
Luckily, the pasta came out really creamy and yummy and my kids really loved it:)
So, I am happily sharing my recipe for the one pot one shot, Quick Cheese Pasta:)
Ingredients
Uncooked pasta – 1 and 1/2 cups
Butter – 2 tbsps
Milk – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Fresh corn kernels – 1 cup
Grated processed cheese – 1/2 cup
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Parmesan cheese powder – 2 tbsps
Salt to taste
For garnish
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsps
Parmesan cheese powder – 2 tsps
Dried basil – 1/4th tsp
Method
In a pan, add milk, water and butter. Let it cook for few mins. Once the butter melts and the mixture starts simmering, add the pasta and the corn kernels. Mix well, close the pan with a lid, reduce the flame and cook till the pasta becomes soft.
Add the grated cheese, parmesan cheese powder, pepper powder, salt to taste and dried basil and mix well and cook for few more seconds.
Garnish the pasta with cheese powder, basil and chopped coriander leaves and serve the pasta hot:)
As far as I know only opos is patented, not one pot one shot. And this was posted, long back, before I even knew about opos mam. Please, do not judge immediately without clarifying. One pot one shot phrase, as far I understand and mentioned here is a normal English phrase. Trust that phrase itself is not patented yet. Here, it only means, cooking done in a single pot. Hope I have made my stance clear. Thank you for visiting my blog:)
Hi!
I got the clarification for the patented term. Will do the necessary change in my recipe.
Thank you:)
