Yesterday, I tried to make something new for breakfast. This idea had been in my mind for sometime. It was a weird idea and it involved baking. Since am not very experienced in baking, I was rather hesitant to give a try.
Before trying I mentally prepared myself for a probability of failure and to make something else if it failed. Yeah, I had the time and was in a mood to try something new.
My new creation is Savoury Mini Cheese Loaves left over Kuzhi Appam batter.
I was keeping my fingers crossed while it was getting baked. But am so glad that I did try as it was a big hit with my kids:)
Kuzhi Appam batter- 21/2 cups
Warm milk- 1/4th cup
Chopped onions- 1/2 cup
Grated carrots- 1/2 cup
Red chilli flakes- 1/2 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves- 2 tbsps
Grated Mozzarella cheese- 11/2 cups
Salt to taste
Oil- 2-3 tbsps
Preheat the oven to 180 deg. Cel.
Mix all the ingredients except the cheese well.
Grease the mini loaves tray with oil.
Fill the batter in each mould till its half full.
Top it with generous amount of cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 mins.
Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool in the tray for few mins.
Remove from the tray and serve with ketchup/ Thai chilli sweet sauce or any sauce of your choice:)
